How do collars (Ferrules) work?

Hydraulic collars (ferrules) allow for cementing casing in multiple stages at any inclination with a hydraulically opened sleeve system. Incorporating state of the art design provides for a robust tool that ensures optimal performance in even the harshest environments. The collars’ large pump through diameters allows for wiper plugs and drop balls to pass through without affecting tool operation and minimal moving parts reduces chances of failures.

This reduces breakdown of weak formations due to high hydrostatic pressure from a tall column of cement and allows for effective zonal isolation around lost circulation zones. It also assists in selectively placing cement over specific casing intervals. Hydraulic Collars are available in different casing grades, weights, and thread connections.
